Elsa Dreisig

Dreisig studied singing at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique, Paris, and at the Hochschule für Musik in Leipzig. She was a member of Berlin State Opera Studio 2015–17. During this time she sang Pamina and Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice) for Berlin State Opera and also performed in operas including Martinu’s Julietta. In 2016 she won First Prize in Operalia, and was named Vocal Discovery at the Victoires de la Musique Classique and Young Artist of the Year by Opernwelt. She became a member of Berlin State Opera in the 2017–18 season, and has since sung roles including Gretchen (Szenen aus Goethes Faust), Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Violetta (La traviata), Flowermaiden (Parsifal) and Natascha (Furrer’s Violetter Schnee) for the company. Dreisig’s other appearances include Musetta (La bohème) and Massenet’s Manon for Zürich Opera, Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Pamina and Elvira (I puritani) for Paris Opéra and Micaëla (Carmen) for Aix-en-Provence Festival.
