Nerone

Boito spent over 50 years working on Nerone and it was completed by Toscanini for its premiere in 1924, but it is seldom performed today. The operatic rarity is presented in a new production at the Festspielhaus by Olivier Tambosi and conducted by Dirk Kaftan, starring Rafael Rojas in the title role with Lucio Gallo, Brett Polegato and Svetlana Aksenova.
